Mixing
Mixing that starts with the vocal.
Priced per song by stem count, from C$150. Three-day turnaround. Tracked here or somewhere else, the price is the same.
How we mix
A chain built for that voice, not a preset.
Gain staging first, because a mix that starts clipped can only be rescued, never built. Then EQ by hand on the take itself: every voice has a frequency it lives in and one it fights, and finding those two takes a minute and saves an hour.
After that it is a chain built for the voice: subtractive EQ, compression that keeps the performance rather than flattening it, saturation for weight, and space last. Nothing is a template. Mixes out of this room sound wide, thick and forward because the decisions were made in this order, on your take.
What it costs
By stem count, because twenty stems and ninety are different jobs.
- Up to 24 stems: C$150
- Up to 48 stems: C$200
- Up to 72 stems: C$250
- Up to 96 stems: C$300
- Above 96: quoted before any work starts
A stem is one exported track. Count the files in your export folder and that is your band. Vocal balancing, EQ, compression, effects, automation and final delivery are all included; reasonable notes do not cost extra. If you want the mix and the master together, the remote package is C$300 a song, and a four-hour in-person session for one song is C$450.

Send the stems. We listen first.
Export every track as a WAV, 16-bit or 24-bit, at the session sample rate, one file per track, no effects printed unless they are part of the sound. Before any work starts an engineer listens and tells you honestly whether the files are workable. If the vocals were recorded too poorly to save, we say so and refund in full rather than send you a bad record.
Paid in full at checkout, because work starts the moment the files land. Back within three days of that moment.
Turnaround and revisions
Three days, notes included, listened to first.
- Turnaround: three days from the moment the files land.
- Revisions: reasonable notes are part of the job; there is no separate revision fee.
- Payment: in full at checkout, because the work starts the moment the files land.
- Before any work starts, the engineer listens to your files and tells you honestly whether they are workable; if they are not, you are refunded in full.
Questions people ask
How is mixing priced?
Per song, by how many track stems it has, in bands. Count the exported files and that is the band. Above the top band the mix is quoted first.
Can I get a song mixed if I recorded it elsewhere?
Yes, at the same price. Export one WAV per track at the session sample rate and send them. An engineer listens first and says whether the files are workable.
How long does a mix take?
Three days from the day the files arrive.
Are revisions included?
Reasonable notes are part of the job. The mix is not finished until the vocal sits the way it should in every section.
Do I have to master it too?
No. Mixing and mastering are separate per-song services. A remote package and a four-hour in-person session exist if you want both together.
Send a song, or add it to a session.
